Aircraft Disinfection Procedures

A number of Service Centers and Aircraft Manufacturers (OEMs) have issued clear statements on the proper procedures to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) using Aircraft Disinfection Procedures. In many cases such as with Gulfstream, they will not allow technicians to board the aircraft until satisfactory proof is provided that the aircraft has been properly disinfected.

In response to this general need, Advanced Detail has prepared a clear and comprehensive interior disinfection procedure with supporting completion documentation that meets OEM and CDC standards of care.

If your aircraft is scheduled for maintenance services, or has recently returned from potentially exposed areas, we recommend scheduling an Aircraft Disinfection Procedure of all Hard and Soft interior surfaces.

Basic Interior Cleaning

A Level 1 Treatment is a quick wipe down of the common surfaces of the aircraft.

In light of current COVID-19 current events, this service is not adequate enough to handle safety precautions of preventing spread of the virus.

Ozone Treatment

In addition to the comprehensive carpeting and flight deck care, Advanced Detail can perform an Ozone treatment on your aircraft cabin interior.

Ozone is a dense blue-colored gas that is generator by our high-tech ozone generator and is a common disinfectant that kills single and multicellular organisms with low cell specialization, i.e. bacteria, viruses (including COVID-19) or mushrooms (fungi).

The process takes approximately 30 minutes, after is the final step in the disinfecting process. A benefit is that the treatment removes all odors so you can enjoy the fresh air and germ-free cabin.

To date it has not been scientifically confirmed that any micro-organisms are said to have become immune to the disinfectant effect of ozone

products and procedures

Disinfectant

Only CDC and WHO approved techniques and products are used to care for fabrics throughout the aircraft. Depending on the specific materials in your aircraft, appropriate disinfectants will be used to treat Soft Surfaces (Carpets, fabrics, liners)
